What We Do




Focus and Specialization

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) program is focused on supporting arts professionals for educational programs of study, research and creative work abroad. The ACC identifies outstanding individuals in the arts who seek to expand their vision through exposure to a new environment and different approaches to creative thinking.

We assist ACC fellows in planning programs and opening doors to a rich network of resources and professionals in their fields.

Individual Fellowships
Professional Research and Education Programs

The ACC supports arts practitioners and professionals for research, training and creative work including but not limited to:

  • Residency programs
  • Visiting scholar programs
  • Internships
  • Collaborative projects
  • Classes and workshops
  • Conferences
  • Cultural surveys

Academic Programs

Partial support is granted for graduate study, academic research, residencies and visiting scholar programs. The ACC does not cover tuition expenses or undergraduate study.



Project Grants and Institutions

The ACC provides partial support to institutions carrying out programs of particular significance to international cultural exchange.

The ACC ensures that funding and time is well spent. In addition to organizing custom-tailored educational programs of cultural exchange for each individual, the ACC facilitates a smooth entry into life abroad of Asian fellows traveling to the U.S. by providing the following:

  • Local orientation
  • Housing
  • Specialized programming
