Asian Cultural Council Annual Fellowship Grants for Artists

REMINDER: Application Deadline: 1 November 2013

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) has opened its applications for fellowships to be awarded in 2014 and invites arts professionals in Hong Kong, Macau, China and other Asian countries to apply for funds to support specialized training, conduct research, and pursue creative activities in the United States or other countries in Asia. Programs ranging in duration from three months to one year will be considered.

Deadline for applications is 5:00 pm Hong Kong local time on 1 November 2013
for programs to be carried out from July ‘14 to December ‘15.

Arts organizations, educational and cultural institutions are also eligible to apply to the Council for support for projects of significant importance which involve cultural exchange between Asia and the United States or regional exchange among the countries of Asia.

The ACC's program covers all the visual and performing arts, both contemporary and traditional. Fields of award include archeology, architecture (design, history, and theory), arts administration, art criticism, art history, conservation, crafts, dance, film and video, museology, music, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and theater.


Four New Fellowships For 2014

With support from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York and Lee Hysan Foundation, four new fellowships have been established for 2014. Lee Hysan Foundation will support a fellowship program providing opportunity for arts administrators and curators in Hong Kong and China to conduct a research exchange trip in the United States.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York, on its 30th anniversay, will co-sponsor with ACC a fellowship program that will support three arts professionals from Hong Kong in the fields of visual art, performing art, or arts administration to undertake a residency program in New York.

Application Procedures

Individuals and organizations from the regions of Hong Kong, Macau and China wishing to apply for grant support should complete and submit the Council's online application form which is available here on or before 5:00 pm Hong Kong local time on 1 November 2013.

Interested parties from other Asian countries or the U.S. should visit the Council's headquarters website for appropriate application procedures.

Final decisions will be made by the Council's Board of Trustees in New York at its meeting to be held in May 2014. All applicants will be notified of their application results following the meeting.
