Asian Cultural Council Fellowship

Application for US and intra-Asia cultural exchange

Application Deadline: 1 p.m., November 16, 2018 (Hong Kong Time)

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) has opened its applications for fellowships to be awarded in 2019 and invites arts professionals in China, Hong Kong, and Macau, to apply for cultural exchange fellowships to support specialized arts and humanities related exploration, study and research that involve international travel and cultural exchange, either between Asia and the U.S. or across regions in Asia.

The ACC program covers the visual and performing arts, both contemporary and traditional. Fields of awards include archeology, architecture, art history, arts administration, arts criticism, conservation, crafts, curation, dance, ethnomusicology, film and video, museum studies, music, photography, theater and visual art.

 

Application Procedures

Individuals and organizations from the regions of China, Hong Kong, and Macau wishing to apply for an ACC fellowship program should complete and submit the Council’s online application form at: www.asianculturalcouncil.org.hk/en/app/information_and_deadline on or before 1 p.m. Hong Kong time on November 16, 2018.

Interested parties from other Asian countries or the U.S. should visit the Council’s headquarters website for appropriate application procedures: www.asianculturalcouncil.org . Final decisions will be made by the Council in May 2019, and applicants will be notified of their application results thereafter.

Briefing and Sharing Session

ACC Hong Kong will be organizing a briefing and sharing session for interested applicants in order to provide more information about of the ACC fellowship program. The session will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6:30 pm – 8 pm at the ACC Hong Kong office. Otto Li, recipient of the 2016 HKETONY-ACC Fellowship Program, who recently returned from his ACC fellowship in the US will share his experiences with prospective applicants. The session will be conducted in Cantonese, with English consecutive interpretation provided upon request. Seats are limited, and registration is required. More than 600 fellowhships and grants have been awarded to individuals from China, Hong Kong and Macau.
