2020 Fellowship Program Now Open for Applications

For artists and scholars in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, going to the US and other regions in Asia for cultural exchange

Deadline: November 8, 2019, 1p.m. (Hong Kong Time)

The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) is pleased to invite applicants from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau to apply for the 2020 Fellowship Awards. ACC fellowships support artists and scholars in arts and humanities-related exploration, study, and research that involve international travel and cultural exchange between Asia and the US, or across regions in Asia.

The ACC fellowships support both contemporary and traditional arts, and encompass the following disciplines: archeology, architecture, art history, arts administration, arts criticism, conservation, crafts, curation, dance, ethnomusicology, film and video, museum studies, music, photography, theater, traditional performing arts, and visual art.

Application Procedures

Individuals and organizations from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau who wish to apply for an ACC fellowship program should read our guidelines carefully at: www.asianculturalcouncil.org.hk/en/app/information_and_deadline and submit the Council’s online application on or before 1 p.m. Hong Kong time on November 8, 2019. Final decisions will be made by the Council in May 2020, and applicants will be notified of their application results thereafter.

Briefing and Sharing Session

ACC Hong Kong will be organizing a briefing and sharing session on Monday, October 21, 2019,           6 – 7:30p.m. at the ACC Hong Kong office: Room 2001 Shiu Fung Hong Building, 239 – 241 Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan, to provide more information about of the ACC fellowship program. Joyce Tang (2016 ACC Fellow) will share her experiences with prospective applicants.
